After recovering from an injury sustained in a test match at South Africa which put him out of action for 6 weeks, Lasith joined us at Resistance to re-train and come back stronger. Lasith unfortunately suffered a thigh injury in a test match against West Indies in 2021. However despite the setback he continued to work on himself and re-trained with us and later went on to achieve the highest 9th wicket partnership for Sri Lanka in a Test match with Dhananjaya De Silva. He also went on to share the title of highest test match wicket taker for Sri Lanka for the first 25 innings alongside the legendary Muttaiah Muralitharan. He is now on track to become the fastest to 100 wickets in terms of innings.
